The 360 Vampire is the latest spear type product from Maximus for use on the latest Lite-On 83850 V2 & 93450 V3 drives. This device will help to professional installers to do the Firmware reading on these latest Lite-On drives without having to solder the wires when doing the rebuild to make the first dump of the firmware. It’s based on the MRA concept and 100% compatible with all 360 Xtractor Pro units, note that it is not supported by the USB Xtractor model, it connects directly on the 360 Xtractor Pro pin port the same way the original spear does that was used with Lite-On v1 drives. It came with 2 visual indicators, one for polarity check and other for Vendor Mode.
The Maximus 360 Vampire spear is designed to make the extraction process a little quicker and neater for people that are doing drives on a regular basis, or for the end user that is capable of doing Lite-On 83850 V2 & 93450 V3 drives and just wants to make the process a little easier.
The 360 Vampire Maximus add-on spear for the 360 Xtractor Pro comes with the Vampire spear itself, the cable to connect it to the Xtractor, and also two rebuild PCB’s for the Lite-On 83850 V2 & 93450 V3 drives. We are also selling the rebuild PCB’s for installers or repair places so you can buy them separately to use on your Lite-On 83850 V2 & 93450 V3 in conjunction with the Vampire.
Note there is another option to using the Maximus 360 Vampire spear & rebuild PCB’s which is the LiteKey, this is basically a product that installs the first time and you won’t need to ever open the drive again to make a full firmware dump and does the same thing as a Maximus Vampire and Rebuild PCB installation, this is a more costly option and not for everyone, but with the LT firmware it’s a good idea to flash the drive back to its original state before you do an update to the 360, so without using LiteKey you would need to go through the process of taking the drive apart and using the 360 Vampire too make a full dump of the firmware do this. For more info checkout the LiteKey page on our site.
