The G6 DS Real does not use SD memory cards, instead it comes with a built in 8Gbit or 1GByte of NAND flash memory and offers a simple drag and drop interface via its USB linker with high speed USB 2.0 write speeds. In addition the G6DS Real introduces a new operating system called "TouchPod" which breaks from the many lackluster GUIs and Moonshell systems seen in comparable products. The G6 Flash team has finally released their G6 DS Real after announcing the product over 4 months ago. The G6DS Real comes in a box with a plastic holder. The G6 DS Real comes in only one colour, grey. Like all other Slot-1 flash carts, it's exactly the same size as a Nintendo DS cartridge. The only difference is the bottom back of the cart where it shows the chipset, it doesn’t have plastic pin separators like the Nintendo DS cartridges. One of the main features of the G6DS Real is the "exclusive super cheat function". This feature allows you to add and use any Action Replay compatible cheat to the games on your G6DS Real. How is this done? Included on the G6 DS Real mini CD-ROM (part of the G6 DS Real package) is a RAR file containing several hundred cheat files split into individual folders. All multimedia playback on the G6 DS Real is handled by a modified Moonshell. Moonshell is a homebrew application that has become the standard for multimedia playback. Moonshell supports many multimedia file types through additional plugins.
