There are a Lite-On iHAS124-B DVD burner pre-flashed with the iXtreme Burner MAX firmware. These drives allow you to use the Verbatim MKM001 and Verbatim MKM003 blank DVD+R DL discs to make legitimate backups of your XGD3 titles for Xbox 360. For those that don’t know the latest XGD3 titles require these drives to be able to burn those titles, a normal burner won’t be able to do it so C4 released a special firmware that has been written to these drives so you can now burn your XGD3 titles using these Lite-On iHAS124-B burners running the iXtreme Burner MAX firmware. Note if you wish to make images of your XGD3 titles you will also need one of the latest Lite-On 0800 v3 readers which we also sell on the site, a combination of a Lite-On iHAS124-B for burning and a Lite-On 0800 v3 reader is all you need to make backups of your valuable original games and be able to burn them properly using the Verbatim MKM001 or Verbatim MKM003 blank DVD+R DL discs for your XGD3 titles. Note you will also be able to use the Lite-On iHAS124B with iXtreme Burner MAX firmware to burn your non XGD3 titles as well.
Note it is also possible to use the Lite-On iHAS224B, iHAS324B, iHAS424B, iHAS524B & iHAS624B versions of these burners but the price on them is a little higher, when stock on the Lite-On iHAS124-B gets low we may be forced to stock these other models which are slightly more expensive, but we will list on this page if we are shipping anything different to the Lite-On iHAS124-B drives. There is no difference between all of the models above when it comes to the function of the iXtreme Burner MAX firmware when flashed on the drive, just the cost of the iHAS124B is the lowest so we started there and will only move to the other models if stock of the 124’s is not able to be sourced.
These drives can be updated at a later date if a newer version of the iXtreme Burner MAX firmware is released, this can be done using an X360USB pro for sure and it maybe also possible for you to use the onboard sata on your PC, note not all sata chipsets maybe compatible with flashing these drives. It is also possible to use these drives in an external 5.25” enclosure if you wish to make them into a USB burner so they can be used with a laptop or if you just want a transportable solution.
