The Maximus Xtractor v3 also known as the XT3 is the very latest version of the Xtractor range from team Maximus, it has some subtle yet great changes that make this even the perfect companion with the Lizard, the most exciting is the fact you can now power all 360 drives Fat or Slim except for the Hitachi from USB alone, that’s right you didn’t read wrong you can now power your drives using the 360 Xtractor v3 XT3 from USB alone, that means no more molex from the PC power supply to send power to your drives for flashing. Do note that if you need to half tray or eject the drive using the Xtractor v3 this needs to be done manually because USB is only able to send enough power to the drive for the flashing process, but this is not a big deal and the drive can be ejected using a paper clip if you need to half tray the drive.
The Maximus 360 Xtractor v3 or XT3 is going to be most exciting for people using the Lizard as their primary flashing tool but want to use the standalone mode and still require something to power their drives, this is where the XT3 comes in and you can power it with something as simple as a USB battery for example, combined with the Lizard the Xtractor v3 is all you need for a portable flashing solution. The XT3 is also going to be handy for Xecuter users that have the X360USB Pro and want to use a laptop setup as well, you can use the X360USB Pro in conjunction with the Xtractor v3 so you can now do all your flashing from a laptop alone, it’s a pretty cool setup and will work great for some of you mobile flashers out there or people that just want to move away from having a PC rig setup for their flashing process.
