The Maximus Buzzer Lizard speaker is an add-on device for the Maximus Lizard. It is designed to decrease the risk involved in performing the Kamikaze Unlock hack by sounding an alarm when you have drilled far enough into the chip on Winbond based drives to unlock your drive. The Kamikaze Unlock method is currently the only way to unlock Winbond based drives. It is called the Kamikaze Unlock method because there is a risk of destroying the drive. We have had many reports of failed attempts from regular customers and professional installers so it is very important to minimize the risk by using the best tools available. These tools are the Maximus Buzzer Lizard speaker add-on and also the Maximus Kamikaze Template kit. We have had many requests for the Lizard Buzzer and are now happy we finally have it in stock for all those Lizard users out there.
If you don’t use the Lizard Buzzer, then you have to watch the screen of the Maximus Lizard at the same time as trying to drill a very precise location. If you drill too far then you will either destroy the board completely for have problems such as eject button not working. You will have similar problems if you drill off centre because you are watching the Lizard screen instead of your drilling. On a less serious note, there are also health benefits to using these tools, you will notice a massive decrease in high blood pressure and stress levels during the unlock process.
Be aware that you do need to solder this Maximus buzzer Lizard speaker onto the Maximus Lizard, but it is a simpler 1 solder point install.
