Just like the previous versions of Nintendo’s popular handheld consoles, the Nintendo 3DS is very susceptible to damage to the top screen and the ribbon cable that connects the top screen to the rest of the console. If you have broken the top screen from dropping the 3DS, you may have a blank white or black screen, lines across the screen, cracks in the screen or bleeding colors, buying a Nintendo 3DS Top Screen Replacement will fix this. You may also need to replace the top screen if you have broken the hinges on the 3DS and have since had the picture to the top screen flashing on and off, showing only white or if there appears to be interference or noise in the picture. This is because there is a fragile ribbon cable attaching the top screen to the main pcb and it runs through the hinge.
Unfortunately the ribbon cable is not replaceable separately. We are really hoping at some time in the future, Nintendo will make the ribbon cable on future version replaceable separately, but we aren’t expecting it, because the top screen design has remained similar for the last 4 versions of Nintendo handheld consoles. So if you are in the market for a high quality 3DS top screen replacement our stock is a great option, of course comes with our 6-month warranty.
