It cost $28.00 all up with the Nintendo screwdriver plus postage and about an hour of my time. I saved myself having to buy another DS Lite for my son which cost $199.00. I’m no techo either so if you take your time watch where everything goes you can do it. You can find instructions on how to do it on the internet.
Works just like the original touch screen. Please note there is a thin film that is on top of the original touch screen on your DS Lite that has a border that is the same colour as the DS case. You need to remove this and stick it onto the new touch screen. It's like a protective screen for the touch screen.
