The DS power switch to turn the console on and off seems to be one of the most broken parts on the DS consoles after the screens of course. We guess that it being one of the most used parts after the controls has something to do with it. Unfortunately to replace these DS power switches soldering is required, so before you place an order for this item make sure you have the equipment to solder the new power switch on, or know of someone that can install this new on - off switch for you. To take apart the Nintendo DS you will need a tr-wing screwdriver as well, we sell these in the Wii service parts section. Just remember the NDS is not a simple console to take apart, so go at it with patience and care and everything will be fine.
