These are a DSi slot-1 replacement part, they are also compatible with the DSi XL consoles. The slot-1 on DSi & DSi XL consoles is possibly the most used and abused part of the console apart from the buttons and touch screen, once the console becomes older and depending on how much it was used, you can start to find your cartridges not being recognized by the DSi or DSi XL when inserted, this is caused by the pins on the slot-1 no longer reaching down to touch the pins on the cartridge, some bandaid fixes for this are to put bits of paper under the cartridges when inserting which results in the cart sitting a little higher in the slot-1 and can solve the problem for a little while, but in the end the DSi slot-1 will need to be replaced, so here we have brand new DSi XL & DSi slot-1 replacements for the professionals to install for their customers.
