This is a Wii DVD drive replacement D3-2 model, if you’re current DVD drive in your Wii has stopped reading discs and it’s not a laser problem you can replace the drive with this D3-2 model. Note that the D3-2 drives are not able to be chipped, but with saying that not everyone is looking for a DVD drive that can be chipped and if your current Wii DVD drive has died and you are just looking for a replacement to read your original games again these D3-2 drives are a very cost effective solution, at close to half the price of replacement drives like the older D2C / D2E etc they are the cheapest way to get your Wii back up and running. Note these drives can be installed into any Wii console not matter which country your Wii is from or what drive is currently in the console.
