Along with the release of the latest 9-wires D2.Pro comes the latest Wii-Clip V4C which is used in conjunction with these new low wire versions of the chip, the Wii-Clip really does make installs on D2C consoles just that much easier. With this latest WiiClip V4C, you can now install the D2Pro with only 1-wire into your D2C model Wii console. Never has installing a chip into a D2C model Wii been this simple, the Wii Clip V4C also comes with that one wire needed for installation cut to length and stripped ready to solder, so all you will need is a soldering iron and a little bit of solder for this single wire and you are ready to go.
Since the release of the D2C consoles, we have seen many people damage their Wii console trying to install chips, the costs of this can vary depending on how much damage was done to the drive board, a lot of people have had to buy complete drive replacements or boards to repair the damage that was done. We have even seen some people manage to damage their consoles installing a WiiKey, so these Wii-Clip V4C for the latest D2Pro really are one of the safest ways to mod your console. Admittedly unlike the v1 WiiClip where you don’t have to solder any wires at all, this latest Wii Clip does require 1-wire to be soldered for the install, but with saying that, this point that needs to be soldered is not on a leg on the IC controller and should not be to difficult even for a novice solderer.

Not having to solder wires to the legs on that IC controller will significantly reduce the chance of damage to your console, the only chance for damage will be on that single wire that needs to be soldered, and even then this point is quite large compared to the legs on the IC and would be relatively hard to stuff up and cause irreversible damage. Using the WiiClip V4C when doing your install is almost an insurance policy against doing permanent damage to your Wii and having to buy expensive parts to repair it. If you’re looking for a safe and quick way to install this great new lower wire chip, the Wii Clip could very well be your best solution.
Please note that this version of the Wii-Clip is made only to work on the latest 9 wire D2Pro’s and will not work on the older 15-wire versions, make sure before you buy that you have or are buying the 9 wires version of the chip. The easiest way to tell if you have a 9 wire version or not is to see if points 1, 2 3 are on the PCB, if they are not present it will be one of the new versions.
