These are a brand new Samsung MS28 DVD drive for the Xbox 360, with the market drying up on brand new drives we thought it a good time to stock these Samsungs, as they are pretty much the last drives around that are truly 100% brand new. With the recent development on being able extract the drive key from the Philips Lite-On drives, these Samsungs will be heavily sort after for people wanting to swap their Philips Lite-On drive for another one. This process does require a special tool called the 360-Xtractor which will be available in our service parts section soon. Another useful feature of these Samsung MS28 drives is that they can be turned in to a Kreon drive using a power adapter cable and the Kreon firmware, once again we will be selling the power adapter in our service parts section soon. Since the Original Kreon drives are so hard to find now, these are a great option for making up your own Kreon drive. If you are in the market to swap your Philips Lite-On drive, or even to make up a Kreon drive, these brand new Samsung MS28 drives will be a great solution.
All of our drives come with a 6-month replacement warranty, so if anything goes wrong with the drives hardware in the first 6-months we will replace the unit for you. We don't think any of you will have to take us up on that offer, because brand new drives very rarely fail even in the first 12-months to 2-years.
General Warning About Changing 360 Drives
With all 360 drives you need to extract the DVD key from your old drives bios and flash that key into this new drive, you may also need to spoof the drive if you're not replacing a drive with the exact same brand or model. This is all not a simple procedure and should only be performed by people that know what they are doing with 360 repair and flashing the drive firmware. It is not possible to just take out the old drive and install this new one without flashing the key from your old drive in to the new one.
