Here we have the latest and 3rd generation of quick solder boards from the team, the Xecuter CoolRunner QSB Phat v3. We still find that the vast majority of people doing CoolRunner installs still prefer to use QSBís as part of their install process, this is because it speeds up the install time, makes for a neater end result and really just is that little bit more professional. They donít exactly cost very much so we think people must just feel itís better to spend those few dollars to save some time and end up with a more professional end result, we always use QSBís in our installs here for those exact reasons. Now Xecuter have added a new handy feature to all the QSB v3 models, we talk about that some more below.
Ok so whatís the main difference between the QSB v3 fat and the older versions I hear you asking, well the main one is that there is now a Commís port on the QSB itself, this port is used in conjunction with the QSB V3 Monitor / Comms USB Cable which is sold separately to allow you to retrieve the CPU key directly into J-Runner rather than getting it off the screen in Xell. While this is going to be most handy for people doing Corona boards, there are still going to be people doing the Phat consoles that donít have a TV near their work station and so you can semi complete this part of the install without having the console hooked up to a TV.
