The Xecuter SPUTNIK360 unlock switch is an unlock PCB for the Lite-On DG-16D4S drives that contain the Macronix SPI chips, these are very similar to the LT switches used for the old phat lite-on drives, once installed the switch has two modes, one is normal mode which is locked and the other is the un-lock mode so you are able to successfully flash the drive. The SPUTNIK360 switch will be great for those repair places that like the idea of not having to rebuild the cut tracks manually using the Probe method, while we know a lot of places will be quite happy to use the Probe method and rebuild the cut tracks manually we also know some places much prefer to use a simple PCB per drive and have the unlock switch in place for future and the rebuild using a PCB such as the SPUTNIK360 switch is very neat and professional.
The Xecuter SPUTNIK360 unlock switch does require soldering, first you need to prepare the tracks and once that is done the SPUTNIK360 unlock switch is soldered into place and ready to use. Do note that these are only for the DG-16D4S drives with the Macronix SPI and will not work on the Winbond, so please keep that in mind when ordering.
